The Leuna biorefinery produces bio-based chemicals from wood-derived feedstock, including glycol, which is used as a raw material in PET plastic bottles.

Kymsol delivered comprehensive insulation solutions for key process areas of the biorefinery, supporting reliable operation and high energy efficiency. The project was executed to the demanding quality and safety standards required by one of Europe’s most advanced bio-based chemical production facilities, contributing to the transition from fossil-based to renewable raw materials.
